Play Practice Artists Residency warmly welcomes movement and performing artists from around the world to a peaceful, artist-run space in India. Away from the city, it offers a simple and supportive environment for artistic research, creative exploration, and exchange.
Residents are provided with accommodation and access to dance studios with wooden sprung floors, creating a comfortable space for practice and presentations. The residency is a shared living and creative experience, encouraging connections with fellow artists and insights into Bangalore’s diverse dance scene.
Artists can access six hours of pre-booked studio space daily and have the option to organize a performance or work-in-progress showing. Invitation letters for funding applications are available upon acceptance, and additional guests can be accommodated for a small fee.
We also encourage residents to share their work through lectures and presentations. Bangalore offers a rich artistic landscape, and collaborations with local artists are possible. The space is adaptable for both intimate and larger performances, allowing artists to shape their experience based on their needs.
